I’m Brea Corwin. I’m a senior SEO and GEO strategist, content architect, and fractional marketing partner with experience building organic search visibility for businesses doing meaningful, hands-on work.

My background spans agency, corporate, and contract environments, and I’ve led search and content strategy for clients in nonprofits, education, SaaS, e-commerce, health and wellness, legal, and industrial sectors.

I focus on organic growth that is technically sound and strategically grounded.

That means:

  • building search foundations that perform across both traditional search and AI-driven engines
  • writing content that connects with real people while satisfying the systems that surface it, and
  • helping clients structure their digital operations so the back end actually supports the front end

I founded High Minded Media because the businesses I work best with don’t need a full agency engagement. They need a senior practitioner who can walk into a complicated operation and build the search visibility and content systems that make the rest of the marketing actually work.

Twenty years in the game. Here’s the short version.

What’s changed since I got my start in SEO in 2005? Everything.

The way people find businesses has fractured across traditional organic search, AI-driven generative search engines, and whatever Google and Microsoft decide to do next quarter. I work across all of it.

On the agency side, I ran local and national SEO portfolios across the US and Canada, led teams, and owned client strategy from discovery call to final deliverable.

In corporate settings, I operated inside high-stakes content programs where the work had to perform under scrutiny and the margin for error was thin. The kind of environment where you learn what “good enough” actually costs.

When contract or fractional, I’ve built search foundations from zero for full rebrands, platform migrations, and redesigns. For some of those businesses, I was the entire search function. Strategy, execution, reporting, stakeholder communication. All of it.

What ties it together? Data-informed SEO and GEO strategies, technical audits, site architecture, keyword and competitor research, backlink remediation, analytics configuration, and the stakeholder coaching that keeps the work moving after I hand it off.

Writing, content strategy, and architecture

I am a lifelong writer. Before I ever touched SEO, I earned my wings writing grants, program narratives, and institutional communications for a nonprofit serving immigrant and refugee youth. The search engine work came later. The writing came first.

What I write now is built on search architecture, research, intent mapping, and structural planning.

My range is wide:

  • Web content, blog strategy, and editorial production across e-commerce, SaaS, legal, nonprofit, education, wellness, small scale agriculture, and regulated businesses
  • Search optimized content where accuracy is a legal and ethical requirement
  • Client-facing value statements, vendor audits, leadership briefs, technical documentation
  • E-commerce product content, landing pages, and conversion-focused copy

My time working in legal SEO at FindLaw/Thomson Reuters trained me in regulatory-aware writing, editorial precision under scrutiny, and knowing how far a claim can go and what it takes to back it up.

I was also the sole writer selected for a national retention pilot at FindLaw, producing client-facing value statements that recovered over $1M in at-risk accounts.

That discipline runs through every regulated or compliance-sensitive engagement I take on, from state licensing language for cannabis cultivators to scope-of-practice content for wellness providers to federal grant reporting for nonprofits. The stakes vary. The standard doesn’t.

What I bring to nonprofits and grassroots organizations

Nonprofits are under siege right now. Funding streams are drying up. DEI programs are being gutted. Organizations that serve vulnerable communities are being forced to do more with less while defending their right to exist.

If that’s you, we’re not neutral about it. We’re on your side.

A few receipts:

  • $500K+ in grant funding and in-kind donations secured for a Minnesota alternative high school serving at-risk, immigrant, and refugee youth.
  • Six-person grant development team built and led, resulting in improved accountability, compliance, and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • E-commerce SEO and content for a foundation-affiliated retail operation featuring the Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood clothing line.

What our help looks like in practice: I create the search visibility, content, and grant narratives that keep your organization findable, fundable, and telling its own story instead of letting someone else control it.

And with Joshua Smith aboard as your systems engineer, the donor databases, the volunteer platforms, and the infrastructure that quietly falls apart when nobody on staff has time to maintain it will be updated and stabilized. Together we make sure your digital presence actually works for your mission instead of against it.

What I offer pet care and wellness professionals

I don’t research the pet care and wellness industries. I work in them. I founded Bat Country Pet Sitting in 2014 and have run it for twelve years with a five-star record.

Running BatCo has given me a business owner’s understanding of the realities small service businesses face every day: client trust and retention, reputation management, regulatory and ethical scope-of-practice questions, marketing on a tight budget, and the operational discipline required to deliver consistent quality over the long term.

Qualifications

I’m a Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner, and my vet tech training covers emergency and critical care, pharmacology, parasitology, and animal behavior. My first clinical work started at age sixteen under an avian medicine specialist who developed the first pet microchip.

I also provide veterinary liaison services, so I sit in exam rooms, coordinate across clinics, and translate what happened into steps guardians can follow.

If you’re a mobile vet, a fear-free trainer, a rehab provider, a rescue org, or a practitioner selling pet wellness products online, I already know your world because I work in it every day.

That’s how I know what your clients need from your website, your intake process, your follow-up communications, and your content. Not because I’ve researched it, but because I’ve lived it.
